Little Hill
Viewed from the east, Little Hill (or, as it was known to the Victorians, Primrose Hill) lives up to its name, providing an almost apologetic bookend to the rarely traversed dark side of The Wrekin. However, appearances can be deceptive because at 677 million years old it is the elder of the two peaks. That one of the routes down from this small but perfectly formed landmark is known locally as the ‘log slide’ should give some idea of its steep-sided nature but, thankfully, the hill’s coniferous charms are just as accessible from the main path around its larger but younger sibling.
